KTF vs Kel'Thuzad & Atiesh (Atiesh after KT in the video)
Group Loot~
Underwhelming at Best
2 staves for the price of one!
The demon has been exorsized!
So here it is. I promised a good update, so I'll do my best to bestow to you a good update. The last two years of WoW have been good times. KTF has taken in very few new people, and the ones we have taken in have been great additions to the guild. I want to take this time to welcome some of the newer members, welcome to the show:
Stevey, Andromath, Kenai, Gael, Annihilous and Croft
i crit u
It's good to have you around, it's good to have met you all. Yes we have added a few others over the last year, but not a whole lot (and have been in so long I don't want to say welcome to them!). I know you weren't ready to jump in gung-ho, but it wasn't a trap! Gael, Croft and Kenai: You guys didn't get props in the KT video like the rest of the guild, but you deserve them. Thanks for helping us through a bit tough times. You're outstanding additions to the family.
We struggled through Emps, but killed C'Thun when he got fixed, and Ouro the next week. Emps gave us trouble, but C'Thun and Ouro were owned hardcore and we showed what real gaming was.
Naxx was opened shortly after and we dove in head first, and it was good times. Definately the most fun I've had in any MMO raid zone (since AQ - ha, most didn't like AQ), definately super well done. We had solid solid progress until Thaddius, at which point we realized that Hellscream had some of the worst hardware around, and we were stuck on him for a while. We were dedicated though, we kept pushing on as hard as we could.
Zero PTR testing in Nax, we dove in knowing nothing. Back when our first kills happened, there was a tops 1 video and 0 strats available on the net. We had to write our own mods on the fly, we had to learn the encounters ourselves, we had to find good strats for ourselves. I remember all the way up till Thaddius there was only 1-3 videos total of any kill in the zone. We got Maexxna our first night with no prior knowledge besides "she puts people on the walls, yay". Lag owned our Patchwerk learning, and we had to use a strat that was much retarded. Gluth died on our first night with heavy dedication, with one of the stupidest strats I've ever read about. We used that strat for a while, even posted our first kill video where I was kiting. I remember dreading Gluth every week, he was actually hard with this strat; little did we know.
Mad props
Even after we finally had our first Thaddius kill, we kept killing him week after week even though it cost us 2-3 days of time because the server was so poor. This ultimately held us back farther than anything, we were top 80 worldwide, and should have been higher up, but this hardware thing owned us. Thaddius and Heigan died on the same night, and we got tries in on Gothik and Loatheb the next Monday before the patch. Within short time Loatheb was dead, and we moved on to the dreaded Gothik. We never got much time in on Gothik at all. With having to kill all our farm mobs, we were left with so very little amount of time after they all died (we only raid 4 nights a week, never more). Gothik finally died and we got to learn the horsemen. This was the first mob that we actually had mods, videos and strats open to us, and thankfully we did. Our third night on them we could have killed them, but choked on the backside last 2 mobs. Our 5th night produced a textbook kill, and our strat only helped us kill them easily each week (2-3 weeks in a row we had a 0 wipe 4h kill).
Sapph took us a bit longer than some, but that's mostly due to the lack of raid time we are able to give out for a mob, but he died, and it was good. Sapph easily has the best loot in the zone, getting him dead was such a roadblock down that made life that much easier. 2 weeks on Kelthuzad and we finally refined our strat and got him down. No world buffs. No voice chat (we never use voice chat, stop sending me tells asking if we really don't use it). This kill was very gratifying. Much like our first CThun kill, just about everyone in the raid came 100% prepared to win, and we did. Our kill was on the day before the release of the Nintendo Wii, and we were way down on attendance (partially because of it). 38 active Naxx raiders were online, and 2 "inactive" raiders were also there to help us kill him (in
BWL level gear at best). They had never seen 4h or Sapph die, let alone even seen KT a single time before. I have to make a special thanks to them for showing up, it made our kill that much easier, and they came to win and played well. I have to give mad props to anyone that hasn't seen a mob like C'Thun, Heigan or KT before, and plays flawlessly.
KTF > Wii
The expansion has a lot to offer for our guild, and I'm very anxious to see what TBC has to offer for us, but at the same time kind of worried about the 25 man cap. We had to recruit just to finish Naxx (only 3 players, but still), and now we have to drop our max raid size for the upcoming content. I'm hoping it will be tuned like I have been thinking, and allow all of us to have something to do during raid time, instead of having 10+ sitting out with their thumbs in their rears. I have a whole lot of pictures to share with you, some have stories, some don't. Some have inside jokes, some will make sense to anyone. Enjoy. Thanks for the support.
A few thanks we have to throw out as well, although not for Frozen Runes, we are one of few guilds that didn't borrow those! Thanks to TA for allowing Bam(ur) to come get his Atiesh piece from their C'Thun kill on Friday. Him and I both got to finish our Atiesh on Saturday on our kill, and otherwise he wouldn't have been able to (and if we weren't set up so well on time, he may not have got his staff for a while; having to repeat KT kills and such > C'Thun). Thanks to RG for allowing us to use their AQ this week where they left off, it's greatly appreciated and we owe you, let me know when you need something.
C'Thun and Ouro this week were absolutely hilarious. We had quite the A-Team online, and they were just hysterical. Ouro was at 28% when he submerged the first time, and he never summoned scarabs during the berserk phase. C'Thun went to mouth phase in 1 red beam (with 3 deaths when we entered the room) and was at 38% after the first weaken (and dead on the 2nd). Even with 3-5 deaths both mobs got utterly destroyed and felt like we were in MC.
Gear helps a bit
Maybe we are just that leet...

Nothing against you all, but you thought you were hot with your server first drop (grats luck?), and our first was de'd

Don't get stranded.
That's it for now, I hope I did well. It's been since AQ since I did a long update. Happy Thanksgiving. Merry Christmas/Happy New Years if we don't get to update the site again before then. Thanks for the supports. Much <3s.
