I watched the 1000th episode of mitokoumon on Monday - 3 hours of prime time bliss! Some people may think it's corny, but if you get the chance, I recomend series 14 and around thereafter. yashichi is in his prime and mito is flanked by the burly kaksan and cool sukesan. I can't remember which season tobizaru makes his appearance, but there is a period where he and yashichi work together, behind the scenes. It just doesn't get any better than when shit hits the fan and mito cracks people with his bo; sukesan turns his sword backwards and goes kenshinzo on them; tobizaru punches through a wall and elbows someone in the head; yashichi is tossing kazaguruma like there's no tomorrow; and finally, kaksan breaks out the mondokoro and the baddies realize they're taking on the shogun!
